Joe Kattan is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Value Doctor, an independent medical equipment appraisal firm providing USPAP-compliant valuation services to healthcare organizations, professionals, and institutions nationwide. As the leading appraisal firm AppraiseItNow, Joe has been instrumental in the company's enormous growth. Since founding Value Doctor, Joe has built and scaled the firm by assembling a nationwide network of credentialed medical equipment appraisers, expanding asset class and intended-use coverage, and implementing advanced automation and AI-driven workflows to support high-volume, time-sensitive engagements. Under his leadership, Value Doctor has been designed to deliver accurate, defensible appraisals efficiently, without compromising independence or compliance. Joe's professional background sits at the intersection of healthcare technology, professional services, and financial analysis. Before Value Doctor, he worked at Bain & Company, where he advised large enterprises and private equity firms, including pharmaceutical and healthcare clients. His work focused on growth strategy and launch strategy for new and existing drugs. His experience in professional services directly informs how Value Doctor approaches its client-centered approach. Joe has developed intimate relationships with appraisers affiliated with the International Society of Appraisers (ISA), American Society of Appraisers (ASA), and The Appraisal Foundation, allowing Value Doctor to offer institutional-caliber appraisals to clients of all sizes. Born and raised in Brooklyn, New York, Joe lives in Manhattan with his wife and son. He has a strong personal interest in healthcare and the ways organizations can better serve healthcare providers and healthcare organizations through reliable, independent medical equipment valuations.
